WHO I AM

My Story

I'm Rahat Maksud Pranto, a Data Analyst with a background in Computer Science and Software Engineering. After graduating from AIUB in 2023, I took time to explore where I wanted to build my career. My interest in databases gradually led me toward data analytics, where I discovered how technical problem-solving could help people and businesses make better decisions.

Before entering the industry, I invested in learning SQL, Python, Power BI, data modeling, and business intelligence through hands-on projects and professional courses. In February 2025, I joined V2 Technologies as a Data Analyst Intern. What began with SQL reporting and dashboards quickly developed into working with enterprise CRM systems, large datasets, cloud data platforms, and complex business requirements.

Today, my work extends beyond visualization into PostgreSQL operations, BigQuery transformations, automation, data quality, and consumer identity resolution. One of the most meaningful parts of my experience has been developing ways to connect repeated consumer records and improve the reliability of consumer-level analysis.

I enjoy understanding how data moves through a system, finding where things can go wrong, and building solutions that make information more trustworthy and useful. As I continue to grow professionally, I'm working toward deeper expertise in analytics engineering and data engineering.

Current role

Maintain production PostgreSQL databases and reliable analytics pipelines for an enterprise CRM platform, combining operational database management, data quality, documentation and analytical engineering work.

  • Manage production PostgreSQL operations, investigate data quality issues and support BigQuery campaign reporting and analytics.
  • Developed multi-method consumer identity profiling across millions of contact records using SQL, Python, fuzzy matching, consumer attributes and location signals to investigate likely duplicate patterns.
  • Handled large-volume PostgreSQL database migration with pg_dump, pg_restore, scripted workflows, compatibility checks and integrity validation.
  • Developed batch-cleanup and partition-maintenance procedures and investigated database performance, indexing and query optimization.
  • Reconciled PostgreSQL contact and survey records with BigQuery fact, dimension and datamart tables; investigated discrepancies and backfilled missing survey data.
  • Documented ECRM database tables, relationships, data dependencies and workflows; guided three interns and one teammate transitioning into the work.

  • Built a multi-page consumer segmentation dashboard with BigQuery SQL and Looker Studio for analysis of consumer groups and campaign targeting.
  • Developed campaign, consumer-behavior and field-performance dashboards with interactive filters, KPI definitions and analytical reporting datasets.
  • Improved ETL data quality through SQL/Python cleaning, structured transformation and validation checks; automated recurring data workflows.

My transition into industry work began with SQL reporting and an early BIDA dashboard assignment, then expanded into enterprise CRM reporting.

  • Produced more than 15 SQL reports spanning campaigns, call check-back and live observation for the enterprise CRM project.
  • Built more than five interactive Looker Studio dashboards to monitor campaigns and consumer engagement, following the initial BIDA dashboard assignment.

What I Do Today

My work sits between operational data and decisions. At V2 Technologies, I help maintain and validate large-volume PostgreSQL datasets, reconcile data with BigQuery and develop analytical reporting that makes activity easier to understand.

Projects in consumer identity resolution, segmentation, reporting reliability and workflow automation have taught me that a useful dashboard depends on the quality of everything behind it.

Finding my direction

After finishing my CSSE degree at AIUB, I began focusing on the kind of work I wanted to do—where databases, problem-solving and real business needs met.

2023–2024

Learning by building

I developed my skills with SQL, Python, Power BI, modeling, courses and personal projects, learning how to make data useful before joining the industry.

February 2025

My first step into the industry

I joined V2 Technologies as a Data Analyst Intern on 9 February 2025, working through the change from course projects to real deadlines, business requirements and reporting systems.

2025–2026

From reports to dependable systems

The work grew from reporting to BigQuery analytics, PostgreSQL operations, segmentation, automation, migrations, reconciliation and consumer profiling.

Beyond the Data

Outside professional work, I care about learning, community and the experiences that shape how I collaborate. My academic background includes a final-year IoT irrigation research project, and I've been involved with the MZS Ex-Students Sports Club since 2020.

I'm interested in opportunities where I can combine analytical thinking with engineering discipline—and keep learning by solving real problems.
